This 20-week program is designed for someone looking to run a half marathon. It has been designed for intermediate and more experienced runners. You don't need to have run a half marathon in the past, but should be comfortable running at least 10km/1hr continuously at easy pace. The sessions progress throughout the program. There are 4 sessions programmed per week, including weekly speedwork (increasing in intensity throughout the program and with 2 'pace' sessions per week throughout the second half of the program. Specific days have been used in this program to guide you as to how to balance training load - hard, easy and rest - but you can alter the program and sessions around your own commitments. Ideally try to follow a similar structure and space out the challenging sessions with rest or easy days in between.
